Pecha Kucha

My first strength was that I spoke loudly and clearly, my second strength was that I knew my information and was confident. As for two things I’d like to change, the first is the “smoothness” of my speech. I wish that I had sounded more put together, because I feel that my stumbling took away from my presentation. The second thing I wish I could change was my hand placement. I wish that I hadn’t kept my hands clasped for nearly the whole presentation and that I had talked with them a little less.

Personally, I’ve always liked group presentations. I think it takes a lot of the pressure off, and I think it’s easier to transition between ideas when you have someone else helping you do so. I think that my group members and I did a really nice job with this presentation as a whole.

I liked and disliked the Pecha Kucha format. I felt pressure during the presentation and my first side disappeared faster than I expected, and it threw me off a little bit. So while I like to have some pressure, I felt that the Pecha Kucha had a little too much. That being said, I also liked that I couldn’t go off on a tangent because I had to stick to what I needed to say. Also, usually for other presentations, I never know if I’m in the time limit, so it was a nice way to gauge whether or not I was on track.

During the question/answer session, my group members and I answered the questions to the best of our ability. As for my goals, I wasn’t nervous at all to present, so I think I’ve accomplished/achieved that goal. As for my other goal, which was to improve my skills, I still feel that I need to work on those.

  1. I also felt confident in that I spoke loudly and knew my material well. After watching your mini pecha kucha, I think you did a very good job and I saw those strengths. I have also really like group presentations as well, it was relaly hard with these mini pecha kuchas because everyone had to be on time to make the whole presentation work. It really took a lot of practice.

  2. Thank you! You did a great job during yours as well! I was surprised at how much I had to practice to get the timing down.
